The Vision

At Viola TV, captivating visual storytelling is the blueprint of every successful animation. We are seeking a gifted Storyboard Artist with strong cinematic instincts to translate scripts into engaging, expressive, and dynamically staged storyboard panels and animatics.

You will work at the very frontline of our creative process, defining camera angles, character performance beats, action choreography, and comedic timing for original 2D/3D animated series and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate written screenplays, outlines, and audio scratch tracks into clear, expressive sequential storyboards.
  • Establish dynamic shot compositions, lens choices, camera moves, and screen direction that enhance storytelling.
  • Assemble timed animatics with temp voice acting, sound effects, and music to test episode pacing and emotional flow.
  • Stage character acting, posing, and comedic/dramatic beats to provide clear direction for 2D and 3D animators.
  • Collaborate closely with the Animation Director and Head of Story, executing revisions swiftly and constructively.
  • Ensure storyboard outputs meet technical pipeline requirements and episodic delivery schedules.

The Requirements

  • 2+ years of storyboard experience in animated series, commercial animation, feature films, or web series.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard storyboarding software such as Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint.
  • Strong draftsmanship with a solid grasp of character posing, facial expressions, perspective, and anatomy.
  • Deep understanding of visual narrative principles, cinematography, editing language, and comedic timing.
  • Ability to work fast, pitch storyboards clearly, and adapt to varying visual styles (stylized, cartoony, action).
  • Outstanding storyboard portfolio and animatic reel demonstrating strong clarity and narrative appeal.

The Perks

We offer a collaborative studio environment where your visual ideas shape the final screen, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to work on high-profile animated IPs seen across regional and global networks.
